Local Events in and around Staithes

There are many events in and around the village of Staithes throughout the year some of these being:-

Staithes and Runswick Lifeboat Weekend .  A fundraising weekend starting with the celebrated nightgown parade on Friday night, followed by a day of lifeboat and coastguard exercises, street stalls, music and dance, fancy dress, raft race culminating in an amazing firework display on Saturday night.  Sunday sees the duck race and a service in the lifeboat house.

Staithes Festival of Arts and Heritage.  A festival of all things artistic, from cermics, jewellery, paintings, sculpture, music and performance.  The weekend is a hive of activity with workshops, demonstrations and pop up galleries and cafes. For further info visit www.staithesfestival.com
